Family Ministry Resident

Position Objective: To help, assist, and lead out with fellowship students and family ministry events. The family ministry resident will work with the family pastor, student pastor, and associate to ensure middle school students, high school students, and families at FBC are exposed to the Gospel, have multiple venues for spiritual growth, and are led into a thriving relationship with God.

Position Description: This resident will serve on a team and will serve as a participant in the resident program.

  • A passion to see students all over Southwest Missouri grow to become passionate and multiplying followers of Jesus.
  • An ability and passion to share the gospel powerfully with teens.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives with multiple deadlines.
  • The ability to recruit and develop a team of leaders who live the vision and mission of Fellowship Student Ministry and Family Ministry.
  • The ability to teach and preach clearly, compellingly, and accurately from God’s Word.
  • A self-starter.

Description

  • Live out the vision and mission of Fellowship Bible Church in your personal life.*
  • In Charge of the spiritual direction/health of a leadership team.*
  • In charge of disseminating the spiritual vision/mission of the church.*
  • Serve alongside the Student Pastor, Student Associate and Family Pastor
    • Participate in recruiting and leading leaders
    • Work with fellowship kids to bridge the gap between 5th grade and 6th grade 
    • Work with fellowship college to bridge the gap between seniors and freshmen in college
    • Work with the graphic design associate in running and developing creative strategies for fellowship students social media 
    • Assist Family Pastor in planning and organizing family ministry events such as Marriage Collective, Fall Carnival, etc.
    • Assist Family Pastor with administrative tasks as needed 
  • Participate in collaboration with the FS Leadership Team.
    • Serve as a life group leader in student ministry 
    • Participate in ensuring the excellence of student ministry environments.
    • Meet with female students for discipleship 
    • Participate in planning a life-changing Wednesday night experience and other strategic ministry events.
    • Recruit, train, and care for the female student ministry leaders that you meet with at least once a week.
    • Ensure that female fellowship students leaders have a visionary and spiritually impactful experience in their leadership.
    • Assist the student associate in developing excellent systems, programming, and completing administrative duties 
  • Trust the Lord to see students and families in Southwest Missouri hear the Gospel and be transformed by the Gospel. 
    • Work with the students team to plan excellent outreach events that engage students and families in the broader community. 
    • Come alongside parents in discipling and investing in students outside of normal gathering times
