Frontlines Associate

Position Objective: To champion and lead the overall Frontlines experience — ensuring every person feels seen, valued, and connected to Jesus and the local church from the parking lot to their seat. This role provides leadership, systems ownership, administrative support, and cross-team collaboration to cultivate a culture of hospitality and excellence across all Frontlines environments and services.
Position Description: The Frontlines Associate is the primary leader and systems owner of the Frontlines experience for Sunday mornings, Saturday services, and key church events. This individual leads volunteers, manages systems, supports communications needs, and ensures consistent excellence in the “car-to-seat” experience across all gatherings. This role requires relational leadership, operational excellence, and strong attention to detail. Frontlines is the hospitality and guest engagement ministry, including greeters, coffee bar, resource center, and Next Steps, etc., all working together to create a welcoming and intentional “car-to-seat” experience that helps people feel seen, connected, and open to Jesus.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain an authentic and growing walk with Jesus Christ*

- Lead, develop, and care for the Frontlines Leadership Team
- Cast vision and provide consistent communication
- Quarterly meetings with the leadership team
- Collaborate with the team for feedback and improvement of the Frontlines systems and experience
- Create and maintain training processes for all Frontlines roles
- Identify, recruit, and develop new volunteer leaders
- Evaluate and improve systems for effectiveness and excellence
- Own flow and environment of lobby/outdoor spaces.
- Sunday & Saturday Service Ownership
- Serve as the primary Frontlines point-person for Sunday morning and Saturday evening gatherings
- Staffing all Frontlines volunteer roles
- Ensuring coverage and preparedness for the morning/evening
- Maintaining the full “car-to-seat” experience standard
- Ensure all volunteer roles are filled and functioning effectively
- Prepare the coffee bar
- Communicate urgent needs
- Ensure volunteers are at their place
- Schedule volunteers for all events and train new volunteers in collaboration with the Frontlines Leadership Team
- Coffee & Hospitality Oversight
- Oversee preparation and maintenance of the coffee bar
- Maintain hospitality supply inventory and ordering
- Administrative & Operational Responsibilities
- Complete tasks during the week associated with success of Sunday/Saturday gatherings
- Own and manage volunteer scheduling systems
- Collaborate with the Office Administrator and Creative Team to ensure cohesive guest communication and flow
- Assist the Director of Operations with administrative projects
- Complete weekday tasks necessary to ensure successful weekend execution
- Ensure frontline excellence at events outside of weekend gatherings mornings*
- Make sure the car to seat experience at all events meets the standard of excellence expected with larger church venues
- Collaborate with other teams/staff members to organize and plan frontlines experience for events based on support level designation
- Complete other tasks as assigned
