Social Media Coordinator & Creative Resident

Position Objective: The Social Media Coordinator & Creative Resident supports the church’s mission by developing engaging social media content and creating compelling visual design that tells the story of what God is doing in and through Fellowship. This role helps strengthen our digital presence, elevate the quality of visual communication, and support ministries with creative assets. Residents gain hands-on experience in church communications, social storytelling, and graphic design.

Position Description: Social Media Coordinator & Creative Resident will oversee the social media process and build a team of volunteers to participate in social media accounts.

Qualifications:
  • A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vital, growing personal relationship with Him.
  • Commitment to moral purity.
  • Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Fellowship Bible Church.
  • Creative eye for design and storytelling.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and current trends.
  • Basic proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
  • A self-starter.

  • Content Creation & Management
    • Create, schedule, and post social media content across all church platforms.
    • Capture photos, short-form videos, and stories at weekend services and events.
    • Edit and format content for different platforms (Reels, Stories, Posts, TikToks, etc.).
  • Digital Engagement
    • Monitor comments, messages, and interactions to ensure timely and appropriate responses.
    • Track basic engagement metrics and flag trends or opportunities for improvement.
  • Brand & Strategy Support
    • Maintain consistency with church voice, values, and visual identity.
    • Brainstorm and pitch new ideas for content, series, reels, and campaigns.
    • Assist in planning and executing social media strategies for ministries, events, and holidays.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work closely with Communications, Creative Arts, and ministry leaders to gather stories and content.
    • Participate in weekly creative/communications meetings.
      • Meet monthly with ministry leads on social media pages to ideate and schedule posts. 
    • Support additional creative tasks as needed (standard event graphics, etc).
